Bonnie’s distinctive approach incorporates the Internal Family Systems model into an emotionally-deep, present-centered, yet action-oriented way of working. She combines a quick mind, clear insight, and sharp intuition with solid experience in developing trusting and meaningful transformative relationships. Her private practice in the Bay area and by telephone consultation focuses on couples and individuals. In addition Bonnie teaches Internal Family Systems Therapy and offers classes on Self-Nurturing and workshops and classes for women on understanding and working with their Inner Critic. She served as director and faculty member of a post-graduate training program in Gestalt Therapy in Long Island for 20 years before moving to California. She also served as Co-Director of the Long Island Center for Eating Disorders. I am deeply grateful for the wisdom of the teachers who have influenced my work and personal development over the years: Jean Houston, Gay Luce, Rosaland Bruyere, the Gestalt heritage, Hameed Ali, developer of the Diamond Approach, the Aikido masters, John Gottman, and, of course, Richard Schwartz. Bonnie is a licensed clinical social worker in California (LCSW23697) and New York (R018841) |
