These capacity stones are made for personal or professional exploration. You may find creative ways of using them for your self of with your client’s.  The following are some ideas for their use. I am open to learn more from you, as you use and experiment with them.

The Stones: Calm, Clarity, Compassion, , Confidence, Contact, Courage, Curiosity, Grace, Gratitude, Hope, Honesty, Humility, Joy, Love, Openness, Space, Strength, Trust, Value, Wisdom

Personal Exploration

~ Choosing a Stone: You can choose a stone or a number of stones at random and receive a message  about capacities that you need to support you around a particular issue you are working with.  These stones can be placed on  your meditation table, in your lap or held in your hands during meditation, or put in visible places in your home, office or vehicle.

~ Meditation: During meditation, sense into which capacities you need to support your practice. Choose those stones to put on your alter, or keep with you during the day.

~Stone Reading
: Sit with the stones spread out around you. Quiet your mind, relax your body. Invite yourself to begin intuitively moving the stones in a way that feels right for you in the moment. Let them lead you.
See which go together today, and where they want to be placed. They may group or cluster in new ways each time.  When it feels complete look at the pattern or shape that they have taken. See what comes to you about it. Are there clusters of your strengths and challenges? Is there a sequential pattern of things that are fore-runners of other capacities? Are there capacities that you feel solid about, and those that you look to get from others? Re-order them and see what this brings up in your body as your make changes. Write in your journal about the feelings that come up.

Psychotherapists

Individual Clients
~At the beginning of a session, ask the client to sense into what capacities they feel they would need to help them in their work that day. Have them choose one or more stones to hold or keep nearby to support those capacities. During the session, you may see a need for more of that capacity and remind them that they have some support for it.

~ Suggest the client choose a random stone or two to see what capacities might be needed for the days work.

~ As a client is working, you may see the need for some support for a particular capacity. You might suggest that the client select a particular stone, or choose at random what might be helpful in moving them forward in that moment.

Couples Therapy
~Have each partner choose one or more stones that they feel will be helpful to support them during the session. They can hold them or place them in front of them. The therapist can remind them, if needed that they have this capacity available during the session as they are working.

~ My experience is that couples naturally use the stones creatively. They share them, they exchange them, and use them to  express things  that have been difficult to say I words. The therapist can support this process.

Massage Therapists – Body Workers

~At the beginning of the session, have client choose, consciously or at random, stones that they feel would support them in where they are in their personal work or process at  this time.
They can hold them, place them on the table, or have you place them on their body in areas that need support during or at end of the massage, e.g. love or openness on the heart charka, strength on the pelvis, clarity on the head.

Ideas from Users:

A Pastor writes:
I found a wonderful use for the capacity stones in the chapel!! I was putting new prayer requests on the altar tonight and the stones said " pick some of us to be with each prayer!".. so people can pick the stone that they want to "hold"  their prayer down on the altar, to give an added intention to the prayer.   Kelley R.
